LaveyCraft 2750 NuEra MCOB twin 300xs

LaveyCraft has just completed building a 2750 NuEra mid cabin open bow with twin Mercury 300xs. Lavey does not have an outboard specific mold for the 2750 so a little bit of cutting and modifying was needed to get the engines to fit. In some of the pictures you will notice that they were able to keep a small useable swim platform on each side of the engines, pretty cool feature especially when some other boats completely eliminate the integrated swim platform in their builds. The boat has already been completed but I'll post some build pics and also the finished product.

Video of the boat coming out of the mold.

Dash layout, both engines are fully mounted along with the trim tabs. The rear compartment flooring has started. Can barely see it in the pics but the dash is installed... Next up in line should be under deck carpet, finish up the wiring, stereo, install interior...

This boat hit the water this week to start it's testing and setup. So far it has ran low 80's with stock 26 Bravo1 RS. They have since raised the engines up 1" and are waiting on a couple different sets of props to continue testing and setup the next couple days. The end goal for performance for Lavey and the owner of the boat is 85mph top speed and keep all the low/mid range acceleration for everyday normal use. For those that aren't familiar with the LaveyCraft 2750 NuEra, it is 28' 6" long, 8' 6" beam, full 24 degree bottom (no pad, no notch) with two steps, 100 gallon fuel capacity, and weighs around 4,500lbs.

**Edit** this particular boat ended up weighing in at 5100lbs with all it's added options and open bow.

Wow, incredible job from LaveyCraft. It's great to see this type of new build and love to see the 24 degree wave crushing bottom.

Actually, it's 9%, which is still very good. Those motors have 1.62 gears.

Thanks, that makes more sense now. I was given the wrong bit of information.

I also would'nt try bigger props until you raise the motors and see what it does. Rev limit is 6400. You want to prop it to run 6000-6150 rpm.

Since the initial run they have raised the engines 1" and was able to run them up to 6200 rpm at 82 mph with ease, 5 people and 50 gallons of gas.. The props are too small for the top end number, but perfect for a fully loaded driving.

Wow, that's a nice set up! My brother has a 28 Eliminator mid cabin open bow I/0 though. The outboards make that boat perfect.
