it is so much quicker. When I say trim computer , they are timers that have a switch behind the foot throttle,
you add the delay that you need for your set up, somewhere between .5 to 1 or so seconds for a V bottom then you have run time for the trim pump.
we start with the motor tucked in, floor it, run your set delay time , then run time , then some bump the up switch a hair more to get a set, v bottoms more so then tunnels.
I was going to buy one of those
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

I have the good mercreuiser pump on one of my boats and a bobs backplate pump on the other one

the bobs is a little faster and lighter and way cheaper. I like it better.

You have to get an adapter fiting to make it work. Jic to an if I remeber correctly.

I don't get the timer thing.
Why not just put a adjustable micro switch on the trim gauge and use a latching relay? way cheaper and you know it will stop at the same place no mater what.
Will post my set up here soon when I get it hooked up.

Thats basically the way it was done before trim computers, some still have a stop switch onna mechanical gauge Incase a solinoid Lock’s up etc.

one of the big benifits tk the computer is how fast you can adjust it, different wind, current water conditions etc take different settings.

We are changing the settings constantly testing and running usually

I have no desire to drive my boat without a trim timer. It's pretty much required equipment

When I stopped racing my bassboat and put it back to full tournament load again I left my trim computer in it and use it all the time still, especially for tournament blast offs lol.

First pic is how i used two batteries for 12 volt boat and 24 volt trim. This circiut when at rest allows the charging system to charge both batteries. Just acts as a large 12 volt.

Second pic is (1) how I connected to a 3 wire trim pump (isolated ground circuit). 2. The three different voltages that can be used to run the pump. (3) The Pulse Modulated variable voltage so I could drop the speed of the trim to allow trim adjustment on the fly.

I don't know enough, to leave well enough alone.
