    identify this part!

    jus when I thought I probably seen every part for tha 2.0, 2.4, 2.5 (pre cdm and non opti's) this shows up.. anyone every run across this?

    its not on any parts or water flow diagrams that I've ever seen either.. maybe shows on some old timey (my day) microfiche???

    Sent the link to George Fuller, he also has never seen one like that. Thinks it is not factory.

    It Is a factory piece, used in some of the earlier vi sixes, years ago I have seen them in a couple of different motors. Don’t really remember what they did, but I’m sure it is a factory part, Also, be assured it came around way before the water cooled regulator, Chris

    had a number of early v6 with design one, two and three poppets and never saw it.. if it its oem, part of tha coolin' system, inside tha motor then it would be listed somewhere.. jus my way a thinkin'.......

    Very confident that it’s a factory part, I remembered plugging in to the blocked off small cavity by the buffet valve, and the motors it was used in that cavity was not blocked off, Chris

    its in an '89 xr4.. no reason for it not to be listed and/or discovered by many if used in production by then unless it was jus added.. doesn't really make any difference since he can't find a new one he's jus gonna re-use tha one he's got...

    but it is MERCURY sooooooooo anything is possible... who knows?... kinda like tha laser injected bridge port I picked up several years ago.. no diagrams/part numbers listed anywhere for it..
