Dont sweat it. Use it. After all, thats why it was built. Great looking boat and congrats. Wax on Wax off

As for price. I did some quick calculations in my head and I stopped at over $55,000. Im sure another $5,000 more has been spent putting that rig together. That was a great price NO DOUBT!! Im jealous

A true "work of art" you have purchased... by the time I saw the "for sale" post, she was gone... to your garage... LOL!
Truly good fortune for you that I was away on vacation. If you want to sell, please let me know. In the meantime, congratulations... enjoy! And I will continue to search for just the right one.

Will do, Its a pretty sight with the 151 boat and the "Better than new" boat side by side in the garage. I may need to look for the first STV that Wally built, that way I will have a three piece set. All joking aside, every time I look at this boat I am astounded at the condition. I seriously believe he waxed the axles on the trailer! The boat came with a owners operation/maintenance manual, knowing Wallys level of detail I assumed it came with every Triad boat, but it was put together by the owner, complete with glossary and every scrap of literature that came with every piece of the boat down to the glove box lid. This man takes pride of ownership to a whole new level.

Scott - you made me LMAO in your earlier post !!! You just described ME!
I'm a semi retired doctor...sold the practice in 08 and work as an independent consultant now...
Except my 40' er is a 27' CARERRA "Miami Vice" ocean racer (spelled TANK -at 6000# - big enough...
My go fast boat is a mint 05 Venom with a 280- does well over 100 GPS, for sale - $25K maybe... WannabeRacer- call me and show me the money )
The lake is Lake Travis in Austin Tx
The trophy gf is my third wife now...we are the same age but she's still a size 4 with double d's :-)
I would have come and taken this off your hands without thinking twice if I wanted a tunnel type boat...but after owning a 19 Daytona/260 Merc that floated along and wanted to be an airplane at 100 +....well I'm just too chicken...I went back to a V pad boat ( which is still pretty scary)
H2O can - IMO - You blew it ! Better luck next time...Click image for larger version.

She sounds exactly like what I was looking for... beauty to behold, pride of ownership, and an occasional exhilarating pass across the lake. I am envious! Maybe some day I could see your STV duo... promise not to drool too much. I noticed from your profile, that you collect C-2 Corvettes as well. I have a couple of Corvettes, a C-5 and a C-6, for driving enjoyment, not vintage such as yours. Again, enjoy your "Wallys" ... but save a few of the "Cherries" for the rest of us.

My pleasure Tim, let me know if there are any gatherings in our area, my wife and I would like to attend. The new boat is a lot more user friendly that the River Rocket w/12" motor.

Never saw this boat in person, but it has always been one of my favorite color combinations. I'm sure it will be rigged to perfection, as is my 03' RR. Looks like the wiring in a Gulfstream jet!!!

I've run across very few "words can't describe" situations. When I said that about this boat, I meant it. I'm pretty sure Travis is at comfort with you owning it versus someone that would abuse it or rag it out.

no sir, I didn't blow anything. I was able to locate a 96 four seat STV River Rocket and hung a 280 on it. It's the perfect boat for me....exactly what I wanted. I didn't want a collector boat or a perfect boat...I wanted one I could get out and enjoy without worrying about my grandkids scratching it. 😀 Oh, and I still have money in one pocket instead of two empty pockets..... LOL !

I'm glad the boat went to someone that can appreciate such a fine boat.

The boats always make us smile, have consistent attitudes, we can ride them anytime we want and they are way less expensive. Its a no brainer-
