We get a couple months of good heat from end June, then the leaves fall with the snow.

Well not really that on and off, we'll boat later with a good few days of sun.Last edited by FMP; 04-04-2018 at 08:05 PM.

Thanks! I don't like removing all the chest, I like to direct it for several reasons. I like the flow being lifted over the lower cylinders and not disturbing them. I use that same chest
on all the ones I cut the chest on. The 2L we run has the same chest and as you see it performs quite well. I love how that engine pulls out of turn one and continues to create space.
I hope the 2.4 does this well and I have already started on the next 2.4 for the parka endurance which should make the Mod VP engine seems like a 2L...LOL

Winter in April Project
Its April now but Son of a Bitch its still winter in MN. Snow and in the 20's. Well i couldn't help it, last month when it was warm another car fell into my lap. Thats like 11 or 13 vehicles i have now plus 5 boats. But you can't pass up a rare deal right. right.
So I ended up literally pulling out of a barn a 1965 Corvair Corsa 4 speed Convertible. 31,200 miles. Been in there since 1977. Came with Build sheet, Protecto Plate, and a few boxes of brand new stuff bought back in the 70's. I got it from the original owner. Should be a fun project. But WTF. Its suppose to be in the 50's by now.
I don't know a lot about the Corvair, especially the Corsa. I remember there was one behind every barn and the junk yards were littered with them. I think we used to laugh at them too. Now I have one and i'm laughing because i have one.
Any input would be great to know.If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.

Made it to the Lake Elsinore Gran Prix on Sat night.
Got about 45min on the motor before the race started Sun morning.
At the start of the race (leMans start) the Baker with the Oval port 2.4 was pulling hard until my fuel pump went bad and I think I hurt the motor. Going to pull the heads. We got to put some laps on the boat (5 mile laps) to see how the Rampage handled.
Motor was down on power so I could not feel how it would have handled packing more air at higher speeds but everything else held together.
Thanks again James
