    Yea it was 15yrs older than the OmC system that came off and it did everything better. Starting was the best u could almost kick the flywheel and it was running. Seemed like half a revolution it would fire up.

    Nice Freddie. These systems don't need a toothed wheel. I would need to make a plate like in my pic but with two lobes 180 apart. And two trigger coils 90 apart.

    Btw that wheel isn't missing a lobe. How does it index to #1 cylinder to stay in sync?

    how does that give you 4 sparks 90,90,90,90 for 360

    One of the lobes is different. The cdi recognizes that and can fire one cylinder or another selectively. So cylinder one may fire on pickup 1 lobe 1. Then cylinder 2 fires on lobe 1 pickup 2. . Then lobe 2 pickup 1 and so on.

    Umassot50 thank you for the compliment, it is a 24 minus 2 and the 2 teeth haven't been cut off. If you look closer the starter ring is missing also. This was just a mock up to ensure it would line up and would clear the stator and get a location for the crank sensor.
