What type store bought acid to remove alum from sleeve

In process of modifying three 2002+ 3 litres , changing port timing and ex chest work to 300x specs . Curious what type store bought acid removes or loosens aluminum transfer on 3 litre sleeves .
    Thx

Nothing eats aluminum faster than muriatic acid and you can get it at any hardware store. Caution must be used cuz it will also eat steel but a a much much slower rate. Also wear a good respirator and rubber gloves. The stuff puts off pretty rough fumes you really want to avoid.

Yes I know that is nasty stuff , I bought five gallon of it and dropped in some old Mercruiser ex manifolds as to de-rust inside , it looked like a witches brew white fog went thru the neighborhood , Had a 700 k home next to me , it was terrible and everyone was asking WTF
    Maybe I can dilute it

Don't dilute it. Just don't use quite as much. And try not to breathe.

I've used Q-tips to put it on with to control amounts being applied and keep from making a mess.

It will work, but there won't be any fabric to skid on. Most Industrial Strength Toilet Bowl Cleaners are based on Hydrochloric(Muriatic) Acid. Same stuff your stomach excretes to digest what you eat

Careful where you store it too. Crazy how the fumes will escape through the lid and or jug. I had a jug sitting on a shelf below a prop. Two weeks later I was having the prop repolished and started keeping the jug outside!

I have seen people try to remove aluminum build up in a cylinder without a total disassembly. They remove intake to get at rod bolts, remove rod and piston, and leave crank in place. Don't do it. It will ruin crankshaft.

Murphys Law states that any time you use muriatic acid, outdoors or even in your garage with or without a fan, there will be a magical breeze that comes from nowhere no matter what and gives you a face shot of fumes just because it can.
If I don't ask any questions, I'll never learn anything.
