    Talking How tight to twist?

How tight are we 'successfully' twisting our stock or mildly modded 3.0 EFIs without the limiter and for how long?

Even the raised limiter ones are staying around 6500 I believe. They are not the spinners the little motors are.

From what I understand, the stock limiter does not have a noticeable affect until around 6,300 regardless of what the decal says. I think the 300 PMs are at 6450 but if it only becomes noticeable at 3 or 400 RPM later, I don't know. I know they they all go pig rich a little under 6K but it doesn't usually pull them down much until the timing starts retarding. The XBs had lower limiters because it was a consumer motor with full warranty. The PMs were sold by the racing division and only had 1 year warranty. There is some thought that the higher limiter and the 2 degrees of more advance caused a higher failure rate of the PMs. Then again failure rates could just be from application also, since the XBs were mostly bass boat motors. What info I have is just what I have been able to find and though I think it's correct, it might not be.

Thanks for the input. Yea I know they are not 8 and 9k motors. I am just trying to get an idea of how much the rotating assembly will take and still be likely to run another day.
