I think so. As I recall he bought it from an auto auction in Arkansas and he filled me in on the history he knew.
I sold it to a guy in Arkansas and he went to jail. Got sold at government auction to a car dealer who wanted the engines figuring he could sell them to the bass boat guys and make a few bucks. In less then a week at his location both engines were stolen off the boat. He then ran it through a car auction where a friend of Tom’s spotted it and told Tom about it. Tom got it for quite the deal!
I was looking for the boat and never spotted it when Tom put it up for sale. Tom sold it to a guy in Washington state. Ironically that’s where I bought the boat from!
I saw it go up for sale again repainted and with 300’s on it but I was in the middle of a 28 Skater project at that time.
Pretty sure it’s still in Washington state. Still miss the boat.

Did you ever hear what happened to it after the "incident"?

I just heard the guy barrel rolled it and kind of stuffed it and broke his back and the boat sunk. Not sure what is true or not, but the boat is supposedly gone. You guys are really killing me with all these cool pictures!!! Later, Dave

Thanks for the offer Steve, but I couldn't go back from my 28. Yours would definitely be the one to buy. By the way, I was looking at 28 Skaters again and it seems the prices have skyrocketed so, Sufka, I'll be expecting a "fun" dividend check for the next few months (JK), Later, Dave
