Want to build a fast tinny
My father in-law just gave me a like new 30 Nissan (made by tohatsu?) w/ a 20 inch shaft. I'd like to put it on a small aluminum boat similar to the red bull derby dinghy, or a weldbuilt without draining my pockets too bad. Has anyone played with a boat like this?

the Nissan is a tohatsu, they are the very same motors, just branded different for certain country's.
the merc little motors are also the very same if its after about 1990. only difference is paint and decals. great motors and there is lots of tinny's with these on that go real good.
the 25/30hp tohatsu /Nissan is a great motor and can take lots of abuse, just keep it well lubed and make sure the impeller on water pump is good.
lots of these little tinnys and tohatsu boats run in Australia and they are pretty good fun.
