Probably a little late here, but - check the muffler! Insects love to build nests in there, stop a small engine from even popping.
On the subject of naphtha ( Coleman camp fuel), I race gas powered 2 stroke rc boats. We'll turn 26cc Zenoah marine weedeater style engines 18,000+ rpm on camp fuel & 16:1 oil mix. From what I have found, current Coleman camp fuel is 60-70 octane! I use Quicksilver semi syn blend. And I too remember buying premix white gas at Pelican Harbor. White gas was an alternate recommended fuel for camp stoves & lanterns, only for it's purity & lack of lead. Lead would quickly foul & clog the generator (vaporizer) in them. White gas & naphtha are VERY different. Naptha was originally derived from coal oil, gasoline comes from liquid oil pumped from the ground. Coal oil is "cooked" from coal ore. Both are still considered a petroleum product, just different base stocks.Last edited by moparbarn; 10-07-2017 at 10:37 PM.

Yep. Know a guy that owns a timber company, and he runs 100LL in everything two stroke. I have been doing it for 4 or so years, never drain my tank or anything. Couple pulls and they fire up. I've never seen av gas go bad anyway. FAA says it has a 2 year shelf life. That probably translates to 6 times that in the real world!!!
