This most have been a great victory for OMC after all Merc hype before the race..

Arie De Boom did well to get third third place he was using the same engine we had which was not a factory engine but a low compression Stinger made to run all season with no power trim cost £1250.00 at that time.

Dieter Schulze of Austria..the man that started tunnel boat racing had a bad day in Paris 6 Hours 1970. His #45 Schulze/Johnson Stinger V4 did not made it to the end of the race.

This is another interesting entry in the Paris 6 Hour race 1970.

Tom Percival/Bob Spalding in the Johnson Stinger V4 powered #39 boat.
The #38 boat also with Johnson Stinger V4 power is Shakespeare/Michel of GB.

A short break from Paris 1970 and forward 15 years.
I just got this from a friend of mine. The #8 Burgess/Evinrude F1-V8 with the most reliable sponsor .."Lasse Ström Marin" was my very successful outboard business in Stockholm, Sweden.
The picture is from the London GP 1985 and the engine was updated with the better exhaust manifold.

Did you notice that Bob Nordskog always looks the same no matter what boat he is in. He looked just the same in the 66 9 Hour. I got to see him a lot because he passed us every couple of laps.
