    A very nice friend was visiting us at Lake of the Ozarks today.
    Tim Schroer use to work for OMC at many different positions. Tim is also a big boat racing fan and did work for OMC racing. His album of racing pictures is large Tim is going to let me use many of them here at the OMC racing history thread.
    Here is two examples of the # 57 Ben Robertson in his Velden/Evinrude V8.

    The first boat has a Formula E cowl so maybe somewhere around 1986 to 88

    My brother Lennart Strom in his #21 Burgess/Evinrude F3 (FR 31)
    Not sure about the year but my guess is 1988/89.

    #1 Cees van der Velden, #11 Bob Spalding and #9 Roger Jenkins in Drammen, Norway 1981.
    All boats are built by Velden Racing and are using the Johnson F1-V8 3.5 liter looper, carb model with 12 inch mid section

    [/Q This was Peter Thorneyworks Cougar on the Saturday afternoon before the Paris 6 hr race his mechanic Guy Marshall shorted the battery out and the boat had some fuel in and ignited the race officials later impounded the boat.
