07-30-2017, 01:09 PM #125DAYUM,,, hate to here this, glad the boys are OK!!! are they strapped in? was looking at that exit door wondering what it would be like to have to get out in hurry. that has to be one freaky feeling to have to find your way out upside down under water, god bless most overnite successes usually take at least 10 years

07-31-2017, 11:59 PM #133Thank you sir , but no apology needed ... Both from he same era and warped sense of humor that comes along with it , I knew exactly what you meant . If anything I needed a good laugh ..
I was sipping my morning coffee while surfing the site . Like everyone else , I opened to the picture of the boat being towed belly up . I yanked the keypad drawer open , but that's when I froze up . The warden looked at me fro the kitchen pass thru window , laughed and said : At a loss for words ? Yes love , Speechless . Speechless , you ? Yes , come look . Ohh dear god are they OK . Fearing the worst I said , I'll find out ... !
I was at Nicks place Thursday afternoon .The boat had already left . He spoke of where he felt he could have had a better set-up for the changing conditions at the last race and how they would be better prepared after testing for this race ... I , like most really wasn't prepared for what I saw .

That's Brian from Skunkworks Marine in the Keys .Looks like 2.5 offshore cans on a big block to me

Those cans are Mad - 3.0L top 2.5 Lower that he had me convert the bottom's to
 accept a 3.0L gear case .

08-01-2017, 12:28 PM #135So many people helped Nick and Scott rig the Shaddow Pirate in record time. We love this sport. We live, breath and eat thinking about fast boats all day long but Nick's passion surpasses anyone I know. The shock and disappointment to see the boat upside down was hard...but I'm sure a lot harder for both Nick and Scott after endless days and nights of getting the boat together and looking forward winning on Nick's birthday. Thank god both Nick and Scott are alive and ok after this incident. The boat can be repaired and I'm sure it will be racing soon enough but more importantly, my close friend is here to race it again!! Carry On my Wayward brother from another mother!
