Dez- any chance you have the part # for McMaster. Don't have the original aluminum rail on my valero, so it sounds like the McMaster part is the way to go. I've at their online site without much luck.
    Thanks

I believe i have the last one listed on the page. Had a buddy ordered it since we swapped trim. He needed the 5/8ths and i ordered that thinking it was right. Sent him the 5/8ths and he sent me what i needed

Its for 1/4-1/2 and it fits mines about as good that can be expected without the original aluminum trim on the hull

Forgot to say, go to the one that says heavy duty plastic trim on the top left and then go to the bottom of the page!

Without the rub rail m master carr sells a vinyl rubrail similar to the taco marine and its made for 1/4 to 1/2 and it fits about the best ive found. If you redo your deck and make it thicker it might not work and you might need bigger sizes. Hope this helps!
Link to the exact rail.you ordered from taco to go over the factory rail?

Just installed it on my boat and it works killer. Bends right around the nose and the wing tips.

    That's a good looking rail.

Any fudging room in it with 3/16 thick edge? I think after my upper and lower are glassed on it will be closer to 3/8"

@ 41 ft. that is just about right for my V-King...You had about 18" left over?

Your getting close...... Dang sure is looking really good!!

Yes there is plenty of fudge room. Mine was not perfect when I put the top back on. It also hides the holes from pop rivets some one use to hold it together at on point.
Used a rubber mallet and it went right on and is tight.

Those interior pinchwelds and interior rubber mouldings look great. They are designed for interior duty though. They might go on fair and smooth, but some of them might not stay that way. Nothing catches your eye quicker than a rubrail with kink or a wobble in it. The plastic in the pinchweld is usually much softer and tends to grab, rather than slide when it rubs up against something. The aluminium in the pinchweld is very light compared to the aluminium in the rubrail so it tends to deform when the grippy plastic outer rubs against something. It is the aluminium that holds the fair curve in vinyl cover.
BTW Deznuts and Dwilfong. You both have sweet looking boats.

The boats I have seen with the edge moldings on them look kinda chinsey to me. Dose not look like it was made for a boat if you know what I mean.
The Ranger boat rub rail is made for a boat and you can tell when you se it. You can actually rub on some thing and it dose not F it up.
It is not just some thing to cover the edge to look good. It is the real deal.............
