How rough can that 4 mile lake get? The Euro is a great boat for moderate water but 21 Lib has more room and can go in way rougher water. For speed the Euro will run circle`s around the Lib. About that Euro sneeze, I used to hate it but on a real hot summer day it can be nice.

Thanks for the all the comments everyone!

It doesn't really get too rough out there. Are the Liberators still being made? I don't want something too old unless it is super mint.

Kinda agree with Old school. Had a ski racer and now own river rockets, hard to beat the mirages with multiple people on board......

This looks very interesting! Never heard of them. The cockpit looks a bit smaller than a Euro though and BC is a lonnnnng drive from me.

haha i hear ya I bought my GS in SC. Even further away. A transport truck hauled mine home cost 2 grand to BC from SC. Took 4 days. Not sure were Mike makes them might ask him more about that. I know there very quick and he has run them into the 120,s Saw this one at his shop on the trailer looks incredible!! His dad is a little older than yours and drives one also. Just putin the options out there...

    Liberators are still made.
    Per Rock:

"Once I bought my first Hydrostream boating changed forever for me."

    Per my hero Instigator:

"I try not to let common sense interfere w/my boat buying decisions."

If you are looking for new check out a Talon 22 SS with a 300 XS. Maybe more than you want to spend but it's a very comfortable, safe ride, especially in the 60-80 mph range.

I know tunnels are cool, but a tunnel would not suit me. My crew ranges from 1-4 people a lot. V bottoms carry weight better, especially with limited power. And 60-80 is my sweet spot for speed. It's often too rough or too many wakes for 80 plus. Hop would be a pain.

Quite honestly I have been pleasantly surprised how well my Talon handles chop and wakes in the 50 mph range. In many instances it handles them better than a similar size V-Bottom but I can certainly understand where you are coming from as this is my first air entrapment boat and I had no idea what to expect. So far, so good.

I doubt the Promax is much stronger than a 225HO. Where is Baja200merc and his T3/Evinrude? He does have a Merc gearcase.

i could not live with the sneeze at ski speeds, so maybe the Liberator? Do the Mirage and T4 ride wet at 30?

Thanks again for all of the advice guys. I really appreciate it.

A new Talon 22 and new 300XS may be a little bit more than I'd like to spend. I'm curious what a new boat only would go for though, less motor and steering. Any rough idea?

I wish the interior and dash layout were a little different on the Mirage. It just looks so dated to me.
