    hydraulic steering questions

So my steering cable is frozen on my checkmate pulsare, I looked up a new cable is 400bucks. I saw some hydraulic steering kits for around 800 bucks, sounds like a no brainer

The boat has a 225 optimax so I'm not gonna be running more than high 70s with the boat, nor do I have much money to spend.

Can you guys point me in the right direction of the best kit for the money. Once again this is not a 90mph boat.

What kit do you see for $800? If it's baystar stay away.

We have been installing ALOT of the uflex kits on non Performance boats and I like them a lot.

+2 on UFlex. Here's the perfect kit, just add hoses and you're all set. https://www.boatingsolutions.com/Pro...age-P6629.aspx

I've dealt with boating solutions and they are good people with some of the best prices.

BayStar is great. On my 115. On your boat??? No way. First place, they are recommended for 150 max HP. U[Flex has some good reports.

Baystar is made in china ****, its nothing like Seastar for quality and materials. stay well clear of the dangerous crap.

go by the uflex, much better.
or even better still buy a proper good used system and then get new seals for it.

so why is this crap limited to inshire stuff ? because its crap thats why.

U flex has a amazing tech line. Call and talk to them about setup, application, and needs. They will point you in the right direction. The 1 will probably work well

the 1, 2 and 3 represent the different arms on the steering ram based on engine make and model. For your motor it's the "1" suffix. https://www.boatingsolutions.com/uc1...plication.aspx
