I'm extremely saddened to read this. Rich has always been such a incredibly supportive person throughout all of the years of this site, since the very beginning. Rich has given so much of his knowledge and most of all, his kindness. This is just very sad.

Rest In Peace, Rich. Thank you for all that I've given to us. Rich would email me from time to time to just say thanks for Scream And Fly. That always meant the world to me. I'll miss him.

This guy cracked my CHIT UP! Awesome guy with a wealth of knowledge and wisdom and truly respected by me..... I will take everything I have every learned from him to the "DO IT RIGHT" motto he always had!!! RIP buddy

Ya know getting old OK, killed in some sport loving what ya do, OK, but cancer? SUCKS! Lost my Uncle at 40, one my dogs at 9, as my dad later in his life. Hope someday find a cure....RIP Rich, never met, but wish I could have..(ANYBODY in a helmet, life vest, and a Allison? My kind of people

Thank you all for your kind words. I'm Rich's nephew, Andy. I still can't believe that he's gone. It seems like not that long ago he was helping me get my first boat running. Just last week he was still sharing secrets about how to get my bass boat to the hole faster. I could hardly keep up with what he was saying. But there's one thing that you all know "DO IT RIGHT." He was a great man.

Sad to hear about Rich's passing. My condolences to his family. I never thought about the saying of Rich's til I read these posts. Then I remembered when he wanted a carbon boat. I told him about replacing all the wood with carbon fiber and structural foam and if I'm not mistaken he said let's do it right. Well respected and great guy. Met him at Jasper race years ago.

The first two that Matthew Caldwell and Rich had. Allison did the third one without him. That boat never got rigged

very sad to hear,Rich and I never met but talked and traded parts on a regular basis.i knew about illness,but thought he had it licked will always remember him for the phrase "devil is in the details"Untill we meet and talk mercs on the other side RIP buddy
