15" mid
I'm looking for new power for my boat (seebold ski eagle) and found a good deal on a merc. With 15 in mid. I have never had a short mid on any of my boats ....and mine is stripped down to the hull now getting ready for paint ....what I'm asking is how do I know for sure it will work on my boat ...what measurements do I take......and what all will have to change if any thing or will I be able to use the same Jack Plate ,steering, and everything. Thanks

The 15" should work nicely on the Seebold, it has a 20" transom. Most of us including myself run the motor jacked up 5" anyway. Id love to throw a 15"mid merc on my stream. My recommendation for setup would be a 6" setback jackplate and start the testing with it fully in the down position. Your gonna love the setup. You haven't mentioned what steering you have or jackplate, but it will use all same ...just wont be so high up.
