Let 'er chew!! With a quick check on Ilmor's site, the engine alone is 810 lbs, so you're already covered there, plus the drive is 350-400 depending on what's on it.
A problem is only a problem when viewed as a problem...

I would still take the IO version. Crank out 800+ ponies and no OB is gonna touch it.... And the wow factor of all that torque would make yo pants tight. Imagine one of the big HP merc pkgs in it.

No turd churners for me. Besides I already have the motors and most of the associated rigging I've squirreled away.

That was an IO boat that was pacing it. Nice looking and running boat though...

Look how Neutral the trim is and the way she carrys the boat!! That is one nicely balanced boat right there!! I would dare to say she is probably the most efficient 24fter out there, possibly in the world. Great workmanship and providing everyone who wants one with a boat that is the right size . Every time im at a lake were there is wake boats I wish i was in a boat longer than 20ft. 24 is the perfect span to cross those wide swells those slow bitches throw! Of coarse 28 would be the ticket but for ease of storage and trailer ability I think Mark has NAILED IT!! congratulations on creating a masterpiece!!

You could see the white/black deck line in the vid. The ilmor driver had to feather the throttle to keep the red boat to the side.....As fast as the outboard is, the same boat with stern drive power will smoke it.
