....THE BABY RATS WERE EVERYWHERE...ONCE a small rat fell out of the ceiling onto my desk while I was talking to a customer there was rat **** pellets all over....

You had more than rats around your shop! When I worked in Miami, we had big rats all the time. It was so bad we even had owls hanging around. Brought in a few cats and dogs, problem solved.

That was one funny on going episode.

Had a mouse problem in my garage. My cat died several months ago and no way am I going to get another cat; fickle bastard. So I did a search and found the stuff to use is Just One Bite II. So far it seems to have done the trick.
Also found out spray Brake Cleaner works like knock out gas on them. Give enough of it and they don't wake up. Works on birds too.

Had my back door open on a cool day back in Jan. and a little bird flew into my house and got trapped between the curtain and a window. I sprayed some brake cleaner behind the curtain and the bird went down. I scooped it up in my hands, brought it outside where it was windy. It woke up after a min. or so and after getting it's bearings it flew to the fence and perched until it was ready to fly again.

We have roof rats down here in Miami live in trees and attics I cut 40 trees down and never checked the roof was sealed big mistake. It started one night in the kitchen would wake up and there would be shredded tomatoes and holes in packages. Then one night a noise behind the refrigerator thought it was compressor and wholes and shredded food lizards. Wrong and the way I found out was one morning the wife got up and I awoke to a scream dam thing ran across her feet. Called critter fellers and they came out found 3 holes and want 1200 and there had been a big critter in the attic and it shat all over and contaminated the attic(5k). 3500 later the holes were sealed new insulation and the varmits were captured in a rat traps the old wood snap trap story over. NOT had to move the boats to back yard so the gas meter was in the way gas company comes and moves the meter and leaves the hole quess what and what did it do ran across the same feet. In all the neighborhoods in Miami good or bad there are thousands of cats and they have free range. I can still hear the snap of the traps sound of victory. Rick
