What cool small Mechanical Trim Indicator's are you guys using???

I have a customer with a cougar Omega with nasty Ron Anderson drag on it, 15" mid and he wants to go with a mechanical trim indicator, but most of what i see out there are big and bulky and do not fit well on small confined dash boards... looking for something small, but effective and a quality product... ideally right in line of sight... its has a short windshield, so can mount on top of dash as well... I've fabbed stuff up myself and could do that on this but its a real clean boat and would be nice to keep the installation nice and clean as possible... I also need the actuator/cable if you have any options on those as well...

    talk to me...

    Cheers,

    Mike

You can get them in a horizontal configuration as well.

Talk to Letty (she knows her stuff) and can set you up with the actuator and cable as well. 305 681 7893

I've always been a fan of the ''pencil tire pressure gauge'' style . They can be made relatively easily , have very few moving parts and can be mounted to display trim and/or jackplate height . copy and paste this link into the search bar at the top of the page to get an idea of what the hell I'm talking about .

They are nice but the cable comes in from the bottom and just no room on the Omega dash, the cable would hang down and if we did a sideways version it would have to be way over on the side out of the line of sight...

Not much room on a Omega dash for sure, the pencil type would be nice but would have to make a bracket and arm in order to have the cable come from the side. then the arm would move the indicator. BTW Mike any pics?? never seen a Omega with a 15' mid before.

Thanks Greg , I'm far from being an I.T. guy and I don't do much posting so sometimes things don't work as intended . I just wanted to throw that thread up so that Mike could have some idea of what I was talking about . I've seen his work on cowls and I figured that with his abilities and skill-set that he could come up with something far superior to what is now available commercially . Sooner or later someone will come up with a better mousetrap in that regard .
