With house remodel projects at full tilt, not much progress to report (much to your dismay Pete) but I did drag it outside to see what my elbow grease looked like in sunlight. It still needs a 1000 wet and one more cut to finish it up. It certainly cleaned up better than I anticipated and given I've never really gotten serious about cutting/buffing gel before I've, at very least, given myself some confidence with the process going forward. The really fun itchy/scratchy process will begin when the tedious woodwork is done in the house.....

Well gentlemen, all good fun and tinkering must come to an end. The Vector is being sent down the road to make room for something else with the same 1976 vintage as my Viper only with more cylinders and wheels.....and significant sentimental value I might add. I have a sneaking suspicion this boat will pop up again in a usable condition AND stay within Illinois. So Pete, now is your last opportunity to put your photoshop skills to work and create something truly awe inspiring before this thread drifts away into the dusty archives!
