Looks like your pan trim is a little thicker than the cowl trim,So it can rub.The original cowl strip is quite thick,so when it bottoms in the pan there is around a eighth inch gap between pieces.I have some new trim at the shop.I'll get a pic for reference for ya today.

Who? Any link to a for sale add? I've been thinking about putting a BP cowl on my 2.4 instead of the 260 cowl

Well got a better look at it today She ain't Purdy. There is a big hunk of steel in there, and were it not for it motor would have been in the drink years ago.You can see it at the top of the pic, just under the cap.Its a 3/8X 1 1/2 laying flat.you can see where the trim screw ripped the top cap when it bowed back.I did get a long screwdriver under it to feel around, nobody home, seems to be just a big void.Click image for larger version.

Ya Nick, I'm sure I'll need every one of those 99 to geter done.I got one speed any more, and it ain't fast.Starting to get over the bummed out feeling about it,and in some respects look foreword to getting it done.It should save some pucker time on the keyster, every time I hit a wake.
