Cypress Gardens movie "boats a popin"

Pretty cool old movie my mom and dad were in, the remnants of the fire ramp were still there a few years ago.

A real classic, from when people appreciated good, wholesome fun. Hats off to all that performed there. I'm sure it wasn't always fun to go to work. But they went anyway. The show must go on!

That is awesome! Thanks so much for sharing! Brings back memories from when I skied for the Marine World Ski Show back in the late '80s. Quite a few of the guys on our team had worked at Cypress Gardens also. Is it just me, or was life just way cooler back in the old days?

Funny thing is the older I got the more stories I heard of some of the crazy stuff they did back then, whiping each other over the ramps on inner tubes, biting the thighs of the girls when they were on their shoulders while skiing running around the gardens with a gorilla suit on etc... I was talking to dad about this today and my uncle was in it as well with the striped face. I think they all had some great times working there.

Johnny Carson did a special from Cypress Gardens back in the mid-sixties, maybe, that was aired on TV primetime. That would be an awesome film to find also.
