That is such a nice boat and it came out really nice. I will own a 28 skater or a 28 tuff one day, just this 3 kids and college thing getting in the way right now

Motors are on and all hooked up. Took me a full day to cut the lower cowls for the wingplates. I cut slots instead of just wacking off the bottoms like most people do. Here's a few pics that show the bracket at "full up" and "full down" At full down, the propshafts are 4.5" below the bottom in front of the gearcases. At full up, they are 8" above.

You know Randy, most folks would look at one of your awesome builds and completely miss all of the (big & little) things you do to make for such a sanitary job! I hope someday you can build one for me! Of course there's this little problem with me actually being around to spend the Life Insurance money ...

I finally ran the boat today. No interior yet though. I only has one set of props. 32" Spinelli four blade thru hubs. I still gotta figure out a few things. Ran 93.5 at 6100 rpm.

I think you will tickle 100 in the future. Not having the sun pad in place is creating a pocket for air drag in that video.

Here's a pic of where the motors were set at top speed. Trimmed out a bit and propshafts are 2.5" above the bottom directly in front of the gear cases.

I borrowed some props from Scott Porta's race boat today. Got the TUFF up to 98.3 mph. 2nd pic is a Dewald 31 x 14.1" 5 blade cleaver. Blades were WAYYY too small. Hit the 6400 limiter at 91.5 mph. 3rd pic is 31 x 14.5 Herrings. Ran the best at 98.3 at 6200 rpm. Last pic is 33 x 14.5 Herrings but had cut blades. Ran 95.5 at 6400 rpm.
