In all fairness, and truth be told...Florida isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Maybe winter doesn't suck..............but the rest of the year does (IMHO)...

Born/raised in Miami lived there 39 years, 1994 moved to Cape Coral stayed there until 2010 Had several different boats hanging on hooks in the back yard over salt water. So I have a clue.

Yup .... You guys down there do have a couple months of OK weather/temps in the winter. If you can call it winter.

BUT............THE REST OF THE YEAR YOU BAKE AND SWEAT !!!!!!!!!! And I won't even mention the humidity runs high to muggy most of the year. Worst in June, July, August, and September.

I have almost forgotten what a mosquito is. And "no seeums" at dusk and dawn? Especially at the boat ramps. or back yard, depending on where you live.

Also, having had boats my whole life..............Saltwater SUX. Yea..the boat might be a couple mph faster, and the fishing IS better....

BUT you can keep the corroded falling apart, wont come apart motors down there !!!

OH yea.....and how is your multi language skills?

And ( IMHO ) the storms are no where near what people think they are. Lost 2 homes and feared flooding numerous times. Hurricanes are no joke.

    Jus sayin......

    James

    Lovin NE Tennessee !!!!

Isn't that why people in the north, who could afford to do it, went to Florida for the winter then back north for the rest of the year?

Agreed... But For me is easier to put a sweater on or jacket on to warm up.

And truth be told.... I don't live way up north where the winters are a lot colder than here in the smoky mountains. We get snow, but it's Seldom here more than a few days, and haven't seen it deeper than 10-12 inches. Mostly less than 6-8 inches. When it does snow.

But I do like having a basement, to work in all year long, and love our fire place. Never had either one of those in Florida.

But yea, it's all about what you like, and should be where you like .... For sure !!!

Just poking some fun back at you guys.

I do know my electric bills are almost half as much as what I paid in Florida, and my house is double the size I had there. No joke.

    James
