Mine were different, my 200 promax and 225 promax with two piece plates had different tuners and adapter plates.

So your saying just put the 260 electronics on my stock 2.5l 200hp and that will be fine?

More or less but it's not exactly that simple. And you need to look at your charging needs, if you have a lot of electronics the 16 amp system might not be enough for your boating style.

But you will for sure need a custom fuel curve put in the 260 computer. Or mess with the fuel pressure and the fuel % pot

My 2.5l 200 is not a promax, so I will just need to make my adapter plate and exhaust tuner match the promax correct

Like I mentioned before I ran a 225 pro max on a 200 adapter plate and tuner fishing for 200+ hrs, it didn't slow it down at all in fishing trim revving to 76-7800 rpm. It only picked up 200rpm in the 1/8th light with a 20p changing to the 225 adapter and tuner from the original mid.

On a fishing rig I wouldn't worry about it, you won't notice any difference IMO.

There are several things required to do this even changing flywheel, charging system, ECU etc like 90 5.0 stated. My 200 with that combo would spin 8K RPM plus and push my Euro 100 mph all day long. I did have drag tuner and all the goodies in mid also. That was my river motor when I did not have my 300 drag on the boat.

Thanks for all the help.. I believe I will find a 200 promax powerhead ready to bolt on with electrics. And then rebuild my current powerhead for a backup

200 promax's are pretty rare and not much different from a 200xri.
You'd be better off finding a 225 promax power head there are a couple for sale on here.

Depends on battery size and length of trip, if I'm just going to go mess around on the bayou for a quick couple hours I'll leave the 16 amp on , if I'm gonna go out for an all day trip or tournament the 40 amp has to go back on.

You wont see more then maybe 4-5 mph going to a 225pm from your 200 due to the weight/ hull design of your boat, dont expect miracles.

I am not expecting miracles, but hell if I get another 4 or 5 mph then I would be running in the high high 70s low 80s and that's better than what most tournament rigs can run. Mine will run right now for sure, there is more I can get out of this hull I just need the horsepower. From the info I have found out the 225 promax has 40+ HP more than what a stock( non promax ) 200 efi is pushing. That is a big difference in my book.

I am a tourny guy myself and have had a 225pm on a fast hull and have a 200pm on a fast hull now, my point was that with your hull it takes increasingly much more power to go faster compared to a fast hull therefore your gains may not be great. If your happy with 4-5mph then you should be good, anymore is gravy.

That's right. I understand what your saying about more power, thats why I was thinking about going to a 225 promax powerhead because it makes 40+ more horsepower than what I have now. That's a lot better than just 25hp with a reg 225. Unless I have miss understood about the 225 promax power.
