Well if ya got an 80 PH it's a gen 1.that makes it a HEMI!!! From what I remember 31cc to start, some went to 29cc and more. The 2.4 off shores of 78/9 vintage were cut .100 @ factory and would yield around 145psi and called for avfuel

when dealin' with 1st gen heads/block be very careful... they (bolt bosses, threads) don't like a bunch a on and off stuff... make sure both surfaces are "flat"....

even with tha added comp ya not gonna see much.... i ran those for several years back in tha day at 140/145 22 degrees with 91/93 with no problems.....

came with 5's and 20's also.... 20's are good...

Those were the first of the horizontal seven petal reed motors. They were strong for the time. The down side was the head bolts pulling on the cylinder bores. If the heads got pulled a few times the bores would get pulled out of round, and the threads tended to strip out.The 2L 1750 with the steel liners diden't seem to suffer as bad.I was thinking that all gen 1 head bolt patterns were the same,2.4 and 2.0 but its been 35 years. Get her runnin and bring it to the romp!!
