If your looking for cheap power for it, I have a couple Merc 2.0L motors I want to get rid of. 150 and 135, both in various forms of disassembly! I'm not too far away. Good luck!

Ooooooookkkkkkk.....now that you guys got the ribbing out of the way, this thread was supposed to be about a brown boat, not an 'ernge' boat. So a good portion of this deck looked as though it had been shot with some type of clear at some point in its life but I have no idea what. It has dulled and clouded in some areas but has not lifted like a more traditional automotive clear. This picture confuses me not really being a finish guy. Is this a laquer that ages does weird stuff like this? The 600 wet and a single cut got through it just fine and the surface becomes smooth and shiny with plenty left without getting into the flake. I've just never seen this before. What appears to be scratches are actually raised and easily noticed with a swipe of the hand across it.

I know its hard to compare the 2 pictures due to perspective but I had to get close to capture what I was trying to explain.

    Before wetsand and buff....

If it's lacquer, lacquer thinner will take it off, if it's urethane it will only soften slightly after soaking.
