2009 ford f250 superduty issue......death wobble!
Need some input on the superduty wobble syndrome .....been all over the internet and
getting all kinda answers .....
Replaced the steering dampner and the front shocks ...at the advice of our local repair facility..
No results....still a problem just not as sensitive to smaller bumps....
It started bump steering real bad and now the violent shake of the front end till i slow down to 30 mph.
I was hauling a customers $40,000 pontoon and almost ended up in the ditch @ 55mph. Wtf.
Track bar looks good cant wiggle it by hand and no bolts missing im about done with this pos ford!
Anyone have permanent fix suggestions please feel free to post.
Stupid ford!

Go under there and have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth like a quarter turn with the truck running. That will give you a better idea of if something is loose. On my Dodge the best upgrade was a urethane bushings in the track bar but any play in the front end can worsen it.
I was going so slow I almost crashed. - JamesGang

Your problem is circled... and highlighted in BLUE !!!

Now get ya truck stuff out of this boating forum lol. j/k
but I agree 100% with the folks who say check your bushings. My Tahoe is independent front suspension, and wobbled all over the highway... new ball joints all around top and bottom cured it.1) 1995 14' Bayliner Restoration <--Click

had the same issue back in the 70's with a f100 4x4. the steering damper was not sufficient to handle the load. we added an additional steering damper and it solved the issue.

It was the tires some how i dont know. but all i can say is i am a very happy camper not even a hint of wobble any more at any speed 100+ nota!
