'75 V4 crossflow just installed CCM reeds and block stuffers

I actually got these from Chris about 7 years ago, but just now got the motivation to install them since this motor ran so well I never bothered. Finally, the carbs gummed up and since they had to come off, I figured that would be a good time to do the reeds, and add some block stuffers.

Pretty excited to try these out... Both the reeds and the block stuffers. My understanding is, '75 bubblebacks like mine, didn't come with block stuffers.

This motor is mostly used as a bone stock recreational motor, with the occasional speed run while my wife is out getting the truck and trailer to pull it out and go home. I got 55mph out of it with just me and the stock '75,135. This is the 16' Tahiti, not the Viper, which is a little quicker with its "FrankenCrossflow".

Are the stuffers worth a handful of horsepower? And as for the reeds, my understanding is, their responsiveness makes for a nice idle. If that's true, then I will be thrilled with a wee bit of extra power even if I can't tell it, and a nicer idle, which hopefully I _can_ tell it.

I use to use land and sea reeds not as good as ccm I noticed crisper throttle and better idle. I can't answer the stuffers.

Peter, have you already installed them?If not,I would be willing to upgrade the reeds at no charge to our latest version, not to worry, the older ones will be fine, the newest are probably a little better.Let me know if I can help,Chris

Thanks for the kind offer Chris, but already done. I do have a set of CCMS reeds for my 2.0L 150, waiting to go in. But I bought those in July this year, so I bet they're already the newer kind.
