i think the wheels came on them back then. Dirk had one for many years ,he rode the **** out of it , great hill climber !

First rear for rear disc brake. 86 and 87 had gold rims-I have lots of memories from that bike "still have my Ricky Johnson signature Moto 4" They were an incredible bike, the pro circuit pipe made it more track friendly and if you didn't short shift consistently then you were going to be worn out. Its crazy how as you get older you enjoy having some things with no intent of using them...

Cool bike!
A buddy of mine use to have one of those back when they were still new. He weighed 130lbs soaking wet but could throw that bike around like it was a BMX bike.-----------------------

Had a kawi 500 about same vintage. Only way to start that thing was to pull it behind something. After warming up, maybe. Cold, forget it....
