300X vibrations
This is my first outboard on a 22' cat and I'm feeling a rumbling type vibration through the foot pedal once I surpass 5000 RPM. The motor also has a different tone to it at this point as well. We've switched lowers and had the prop checked and balanced but it's still there. It just feels like I'm maxing the motor out by the sounds I'm hearing/feeling. The mechanic did state there was a bit of slip while we tested the boat, but I'm not sure that would give me this sense as I exceeded the stated RPM.

With solid engine mounts some vibration is normal. even on my 300xs I can feel some. Post pictures of your boat.

solid mounts transfer the sound and vibration right thru the hull. My super makes all sorts of different droning sounds at different rpm. Like a Giant Jaw Harp

I find at idle if I tap the trim up it alleviates alot of the vibration thru the hull.
