A couple weeks ago I was spending a week on the a small local reservoir....storm blew in so I went to the boat shop and traded out the old 17P for 1 4 blade 20 PP ss prop. About 3:00PM a couple other boats put in and i made up the rear being the third boat on the water.
Played getting used to this greatly improved boat dues to the new prop for a couple hours then all of the sudden the other 2 boats were pilling out so we were all alone on glass and made lap after lap around the pond at 40-45 MPH trying to beat my own wake or catch it either way.....Out there for a good hour and a half before another boat put in.

Our waterway's never slow down ,
But I do go for late night motorcycle rides, after 11:00
around here after 11 at night most of our street lights become blinking red or yellow
with no one on the road ...
Back 30 years ago I went for a late October boat ride
I put in at a Marina near Niagara Falls New York
I ran the $hit out of it with low octane pump gas. and stuck a piston with in two miles of the FALLS https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Navy_I...Island_map.png
Scared yes , had one paddle witch my buddy was using , I remember I had my leather motorcycle jacket on and paddling the best I could with my hand...
We made it to Navy island just above the falls, back in 1985 no one had a cell phone and no one was around ...Last edited by CUDA; 09-06-2016 at 01:09 PM.

I went back down state this weekend. The opposite way of everybody else. It was glorious. Barely any traffic on the river.

There was an article in the local paper a few years back that stated the valley here goes from 10,000 people to 50,000 in the summer. So it's time to boat now.

You need to see a vid of Jeff Ziemer Jr's Allison Grand Sport running with a stock 260. Runs
107 mph plus. They are great boats.
