The 400R in California, owner is on a 2 week vacation and waiting for me to get 2 new props in for him. The one in Indiana has not reported anything more than the 112 and is waiting on new props from me also. The 400R in Canada, last I knew was 106, but have not talked to him for over a week.
The newest Talon 22 out with the 300xs on it (Joe Partyka's) has run some big numbers on it's first day out. I will post them soon. Video he sent was off a cell phone and has no volume. He has his GoPro with him today and will be sending me better video soon. I will post it as soon as I can. He also had a brand new prop break yesterday and his back up prop is 2 pitch sizes smaller.

Ive been using your findings as the measuring stick for me to either stick with my 2016 300xs 15" taylor build with Nass cowl with super low hours, or moving over to a 400R.. I hope you put up some huge numbers vs the 3.0 or 3.2 stuff.. Have talked at length with Bob in Canada with the 22 Talon and he truly believes its a huge improvement over the 300x.. Very interested how this plays out.. I have a 400 in crate and xs on stand so I guess real world is only way to truly see

I was going to buy a pair of 32 blasters for my 25 liberator because they hardly slip at all. Because of the breaking issues, i just got a pair of spinnelli 32" dr4's. They ran 68-69 mph at 4000 rpm. We went 185 miles on 57 gallons of gas. That's almost 3.3 mpg with two 300xs motors. The acceleration was also great. It was too rough on lake murray to get a top end number, but we were running 55 mph at 3500 rpm, 89 mph at 5000, and 103 at 6000.

The California Talon has twin 25 gallon aluminum tanks 45" forward from the transom. It weighs 1375 with the twin tanks in it. The hull was 1220 without the tanks. 109 mph till this date.
The one in Indiana weighs 1150 bare hull, no tank. 112 mph till this date.
The one in in Canada weighs around 1200 lbs. 106 mph till this date.
We are lacking in good props, but are on the right track. New props will start rolling in next week and the week after. Should see some better numbers.

I do not think any of them are talking to either of those. I like David's props for sure and have only dealt with Herring on the inboard boats. The game plan is to see what prop configurations these 400's like the best and then go from there. They are liking 4 bladed hubbed props the best.

If that was mine, it would have a BLACK rub rail on it. One day Todd.
All the business I have done with you has been clean and great. I like you, I like the boats you build and the quality. Your father is awesome and it is easy to see how good a role model he was for you. I was lucky like you my father rocked and taught me well. It is refreshing to see well built AMERICAN products that speak for themselves. I don't listen to the naysayers, I have been to your shop, I have seen what you guys do for myself, I have spent a LOT of time at your shop, talking to your father, your wife, even your kids. Don't let the people who want to judge you without knowing you get you down. Keep reaching for the stars and turning out QUALITY work like you are, always improving and evolving and you will do very well.
You are lucky that your wife is your business manager and you do not have to deal with that stuff and can just create and test and do what you want to do. She is also very good at what she does. I don't think most people have any idea of the team you guys are, that people like me have seen and experienced first hand. I have seen your wife jump up and relieve a person who had to go somewhere on one of the other businesses you have(had whatever) I won't mention what it is manufacturing something complex and take right off like she did the job every day. How many people have a wife like that?
My day at your shop was very interesting, I saw the answer to some questions I have pondered for many years on how manufacturers do particular tasks fast it was really cool. I thought to myself, THAT is how they do it!! Way cool. I really enjoyed my visit and in retrospect my bank did me a favor messing up my wire transfer because I learned a lot of things I had wondered for years, that I never would have thought would happen buying a boat and visiting what I thought was a boat manufacturer but was WAY more than just boats.
You are truly a lucky man. Nice knowing you Todd.
