Fantastic and I bet she was the envy of her friends male and female !!
Love that !!
I hope you don't mind I did a copy and print .
I am now retired in china and have someone that will get wildly interested in this !!
Where I live we are surrounded by water where ever you look or go, but non of it ever gets used by any one ! Its makes me cry to see all the potential go to waste !Last edited by tunnels; 07-20-2016 at 09:26 PM.
Messing round with boats is fun !! the learning never stops ,even after more than 30 years there's always something new happening somewhere !
BUT somethings never change and some problems never go away and just keep reoccurring !!
so moved into Composite Forensics , Now that something completely new !!

No, I'm too busy to get loose or I would have gone to Odessa, Tx for a Fam Reunion this weekend! 2000 is his bottom dollar!

Make sure you have a cupped prop on her and jack the motor so the cavatation plate is at least an inch above the bottom. The water p-up is on the exhaust snout behind the prop so there will be no cooling problems. Be sure the flywheel has the elect.starter ring gear removed. You can cut up to 60 thou. off the head(start at 45 thou.) but you will need to mix fuel up to 98 oct. if you get to 160 lbs of compression. Set up is the most important (motor as high as possible) and if you get her to spin over 6k rpm you need to use GOOD oil at least at 32:1(25:1 over 6.5k) Make sure throttle linkage is tight as carb and timing will not be at full setting if they are worn.I have modded a couple and hope this helps.
