4 in super stock,5 in modified {1/4] and 4 in river racer,3 in pro mod [800].A very poor turnout for such a nice race site. The freemans ,and the tims ford bass club ,and the O.D.B.A. did a good job putting this race on at a site that had been popular with racers before. The boats did not show up,,, truly a shame....

That is sad. I think we had 21 in Modified Production in 2001. Those folks treated us like royalty. Meant alot to all of the racers. Boat count used to be an issue in the other direction. Classes had to be split and ran in groups. Then combined. Fuel added because of all the laps etc. lots of folks just showed up to make two laps and put it on the trailer just to be with their buddies. Things change. Life goes on. I think we are going to start grudge racing and call outs. Like Street Outlaws. Hoxie is number one on my list to call out.......course he will sell his boat the week of the race....Bawwaawaa.....I still love you Jesse.

That was all in fun Mark. My race days are over. All you guys want to spend big money on CF boats and CRT motors. What about 1600 pound bass boats and 200 horse stock motors?? Lots more of them out there!!!! You could run them for two miles and not get anybody hurt!!!!! At least the pits would be full.

they should start opening up the 1/4 mile class to some more different types of motors maybe the opti's and things like that... Have a 4 stroke class as well.. I know i'm gonna get railed for saying that but its just an idea. Gotta be progressive and think forward. I wanted to get down to this race but couldn't make it with work which sucks cause its the closest race to me " 12 1/2 hours" .. maybe the classes are already open to them and i haven't looked far enough into the rules.

Boat count is 100% critical. Grudge races. Call outs. Whatever it takes. 3 fast boats in 4 classes just doesn't generate enough interest. Smack talk and making laps is the name of the game.

Doesnt seem like anyone runs those type boats anymore, DSRA started a new beginners class like that this year to replace the old perf bass and ski since numbers had gone down.

No NIC motors allowed, but the prostock 200 combo at 2000lbs is hard to beat.

We've had 4 boats in that class per race.

Most of the allison xb2002's are running in lake racer still with pro stock or modded motor motor combos

in shrevport they've started an outlaw drag deal list racing and call outs seems like they are starting to get a few boats each deal

It's a tough draw to get people to give up weekends and travel to races. Don't know what the answer is. Used to be more of a local club deal. Somebody gets hurt and everything stopped.
