Sad news for a long time S&F Member and F1 Racer Lee Davies Today

Lee Davies aka { COMPRECBRKR } a member since 2002 on Scream and Fly passed away July 9th. He probably holds the record for the longest member with the least amount of posts! haha When i talked to him i called him the lurker. He read everything on hear but kept it to himself most of time unless you were really stuck because he had the answers. A friend of mine and a very good friend of many other high performance boaters on hear and abroad as he played a big part of Racing history in Canada and the USA. Mike Nass and lee were close friends and my condolences goes out to him. I know if you were a friend of Lees he had an effect on you as he was as genuine a person as you would ever meet. Some of you may remember him as having one of the largest Outboard Racing motor collections in the world. His passion was Racing and helping others get into it in any way he could. He holds 6 or 7 world records and was high points Champ many many years in row. i can go on and on about his accomplishment as he had many! Sad day for me and others. i just wanted to let the guys know who knew him and others who didn't know what a special guy he was that sadly is no longer with us. Hears a pic of his APBA high points badges he won and a fun clip that the news hour did on him some years ago. Great guy ! RIP Lee Davies . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYyGPgGZMQ8

That is terrible news, and I am very saddened to read that. I wish I was able to get to know him.
Thank you for letting us know James.
    Rest In Peace, Lee.

That is awesome! I've never seen this before, thank you for posting. Is that boat made by STV?

Parker his beloved wife passed away a couple of years ago. His boats are being used for Regatta type racing last time i checked as there trying to get some F1 style events happening in the area more often. Thats the kinda guy he was since they weren't being used let someone use them so there is more boats at the event. i would be very surprised if any of his collection was for sale except to maybe a Mercury museum. He has very good friends involved with collecting and in the sport that are capable of preserving his legacy. Some of witch will see this thread. He told me after his wife passes whats the sense in having all this stuff if you dont have anyone to share it with anymore. That made me think about my wife and Family and how its easy to get consumed with our sport and forget to spend as much time with the ones you love before its to late. He was the kind of guy who said some things that were profound and you never forget. Going to miss him.
