Velocity and Sonic

What are every ones opinion of Velocity and Sonic boats? I am thinking about selling my 22' Rapidcraft picklefork and going with a 26 or 28' I/0 with a big block and I really like the looks of those 2 hull styles. Any pros or cons?

I love my Velocity bought new in 97 added bigger power 2000 and just did a new 720 hp motor this year this is the one boat that i will never sell!

Do you have any pictures? What motor did it have from factory? I was curious how they work with a 496 or 502

The boat ran 70 on the speedometer with a 454 mag 350 hp and powerboat magazine tested the same boat that year and they radared it at 67.9 the boat now runs north of 90 and i need an bigger prop!

Thanks I have a couple other nice boats but the Velocity is my baby!

Has a 1997 Velocity 280 with a 502. Ran 70plus and would handle fantastic and is a great rough water boat. I was looking Velocity or Sonic at the time and althought the Sonic has a better cabin, the 280 handled and rode much better

I want something with a small cabin that looks sporty and will hold its own and I think the Velocity really fits the bill. I am getting tired of the low profile boats

Maybe one of these years Nick. Things have been crazy. Tiff graduated high school this year and will be starting college this fall

Damn, we're getting old!! Miss you and Wayne and Ben and the Penn. crew, Jeff Seignor represented Penn. well with his Eliminator! Damned bunny was looking for the sheep to play with, as it were Sunday Dam run was a zoo!!!
