who on here is running nitrous? want input on my planned setup.

Currently gathering parts for a basic nitrous setup ill give all my info and what im thinking and would love input/suggestions. (This is not my first time around nitrous or 2 strokes but will be my first time on a outboard)

19' Eliminator Daytona 1991 2.5 200 cut heads (145psi) reeds velocity stacks and exhaust mods . Motor has pumper carbs and 7 pedal reeds about 15 hours on rebuild.

Plan on running a complete secondary fuel system for motor and nitrous when I'm spraying with 116 race gas in it. A full throttle switch and a steering wheel mounted fuel only button for wash down. A fuel pressure switch for safety. Im thinking 6 foggers into my velocity stacks seems to be the only place i can put them. Need input on jet size, spark plugs, and anything else I might be missing. Also pics would be awesome.

I've seen most people are doing that but everyone I've seen is running a 120 to 250 shot. Didn't wanna go that big so I figured race gas would be fine. I'm totally ok with meth just wanted to know the pros over race gas. Also my motor still has a stock flywheel sjould i be buying a lightweight one first.

So you want to spray less than 120 on 116 and think it will hit softer than a 75 dry with tighter heads?

You need to learn about nitrous.

That's why im asking. I figured 116 would help compensate for the lack of ability to retard timing (like with a 7al). I thought you were joking with a dry shot. To me dry shot on a two stroke sounds terrible. But like I said I'm here to learn.

Never herd of anyone running a dry shot on a 2 stroke but if you have experience with it than please share. Also by tighter heads do you mean more compression? In any other application I've always seen guys drop compression on a nitrous motor.

There's no need to retard the timing if you run methanol or low compression. It's been tested and it works.

Contact Ernie Wrenn at Compucar Nitrous (8034429206). I have one of his set ups and Love it. But Its on a Horned motor. His kits shoot Xtra Fuel via a solenoid and a metering valve at the stray nozzle. The Set up I have can be adjusted from 50 to over 300.

I'd like more info and pics of setup please. Anyone have it on laser injection? If you were going to piece one together how would you do it? Are you running colder plugs?
