I tend to be conservative with my approval stamp for "Ocean use" .
One thing i ponder is, if I lost power and had to anchor would I be able to maintain the hull upright in 6 or 8 foot swells after out running a storm.
My answer for that hull is no.Azure AZ259, 8.1

First off that boat is designed for twins. It will be the worlds slowest tunnel with a single. It can handle 3 maybe 4 footers max,but at 4 footers and above you will be getting wet from splash from inside tunnels spraying over the bow. I have been in 5-6 footers and it was ugly, had to go sideways to the waves or get wet and stuff the bow. Depends on wave to wave length. Very nice boat, Handles boat wakes like a dream.

First, very nice ride....love the v8 and the hull seems to be immaculate.
Now, this hull in open water would do fine, but as the day goes on and winds pick up or swell comes in I'd be more worried about stuffing this boat after coming off a wave crest.
As far as just normal chop, this hull should ride just fine with no slapping1977 Hydrostream Vector 2.5 Promax

ocean when calm yes ,owned one for 12 years and it would run over 3 to 4 footers fine at 90 mph at 60 ish you will get pounded i found its limits one day on the eagle chain
in eagle river wi it was windy 25 mph + and there was them tower boats out wake boarding/surfing and we were running in excess of 90 i hit some 5 footers+and the boat got little upset enough that my friend finely
grabbed the handle on the dash for the first time i said we found the limits ,if i would have slowed we would of crashed or stuffed .and almost did anyway ther than that i dont think you could hurt the hull in 1 to 3's perfect

Any boat with a flat center pod is a lake boat you feel every thing unless your really flying it and thats gets hariry when going fast over big waves. My 21 skater made my old 21 cougar mtr seem like a jon boat. And this is in the intercoastal gulf waters.

.
Thanks everyone.
I've read each and every response and will let you know what I do next.
HydroSkreamin, please start a thread on your awesome work. Predator can build you wedges for the bottom case you want to increase the deadrise. Your deadrise is proly good though since you'll be running on lakes?

Noli, I don't want to pollute your thread. I plan on starting one on this boat AFTER I finish it, no time right now. I like your camera idea. I have a ReplayXDMini, and since there will be a bilge plug there, maybe I could utilize that? Just thinking out loud. Next is transom and venting to the notch. This will be a lake and river boat.
Whatever your decision, good luck. I think to get on the water you'd be good, but careful of conditions would probably be wise.A problem is only a problem when viewed as a problem...
