" Caution on Needle & Seats "

I just ordered 8, They came in same part and two different sizes. So went pull my BRP and Sierra Kits under the same part. They have some with big and small needle & Seats also under same part# . I wonder how many motors might have blown from wrong Needle & Seats in kits............... ? I always took it for granted that it was right part in the kit. Other parts always checked, but not Carb Kits....... Until today !! So if you got a Hot Cross-flow V4 just giving you heads up........

I got all my jets and found the extra big seats i need. Will install them tonight and then off jetting before Saturday... Will post update Thanks everyone ! !

my guess would be a stock engine will survive with the small seats hence no problem for omc/brp?

Ok, Mod & rebuilt with new Inlet hoses, and needle & seats. Hooked up and pressure tested to 6 lbs with fuel. Only one leaked and got it fix. Will install Wednesday night, Will make new 3/8 fuel rail and post pics later this week. Went with 31 low speed, Keep 14 mids, and 93D's high speed. Wrote in my log book so i can look back. So we will see Wednesday afternoon.

Well had a long day, then got to work on mine ready for water test thursday, Think I got it this time !! This is the mods I did today used all 3/8 fuel hose for main line and 1/4" to carbs with band clamps. No leaks so far.......

As they are in series you might want to put the fuel pressure gauge at the end of that hose or is that a loop with return?

SHE RAN !!! Drag Race her this weekend SHE DID GREAT !! For the 1st time out.. Got caught 1st with my pants down on the light tree. He got the jump on me, not enough prop to pull him in.....1/2 track it was bad, live & learn. 2nd run I won by 2 1/2 boats and 3rd time skipped a few but almost pull him in. He won by 1/2 boat. . Going to recheck jetting and start doing mods by adding drag plate and make a plate under.my jack-plate.

This is my last run, He jump me out of the hole I pulled up to him, but ran out of prop about 100' from the finish line. She did run good and was all motor " No Nitrous "

I was trying to figure out what the small holes were on the velocity stacks then I realized they were numbers for which carb, and just pencil dots, nice project it looks great keep us posted. Matt
