You can go to River Ranch without a boat and its still a rush just to be around everyone that shares in a common interest and talk to people that all have the same "speed bug". The boats are just transporters, its the people and friends that make it-
River Ranch is also a great facility that offers a lot of activities to bring everyone and their families together and chill out. Had a great time as always and there was plenty of running taking place in the ditch.

Good times at River Ranch !
Great times this weekend ! Windy yesterday but everyone still had fun it seemed . I tried to get across the lake on the east side with a 25 mph NE wind and got about 3/4 of the way up but it was too much for the STV and my wife ! Back to the ditch and caught up with a bunch down by the south lock .
No major glitches except for some people that couldn't respect the no wake signs in the Marina canal so I got a call from the Security and had to deal with that . FWC was called and showed up to see what the deal was . Please use your head about this stuff, there is no other place like this and we have to protect that if we are to be welcomed back .
Lots of laughs , thanks for making it great !

We were eating at the marina restaurant when we heard this guy on the ramp winding his motor up while out of the water ,

he got into that canal and let it rip , my buddy says idle zone huh, was not long he was back drifting... starting it then quickly shutting it off
Guess he smoked his water pump on the ramp

Sooo much fun reconnecting with old friends and catching up. It's been alot longer than it seems
I kinda felt bad when we started figuring out hat I had been 10+ years since I'd been to one of these deals and then it dawned on me that 10 years later this deal is still going strong thanks to the Foleys (behind every good man, right Gina?) and a good core group of people.
Seemed just like old times hanging with Corona Mike and the Pazos family. Extended family and I love them dearly. Yeah, even you Rich Martin!
Greg, thank you again for everything and I wish we'd all had more time to catch up. I did get a chance to hang out a bit with Sandi and that's always nice.
Geez so many people, Jello Shot Scott, Warren, Bernard and anyone else who said hi or I say and drank with.
My new friends, Tyson, other Brian, and James Hetfield's illegitimate love child, you guys are awesome!--Brian Chandler--

Thanks Again To Tom And Gina! The Wind Kept A Group Of Us In The "North Ditch" Yesterday. Was Even To Windy To Stay Out On B/S Hill. Was Great To See Several Of The "Old Group" Sorry I Missed Some Other's But, I'm Sure We'll Catch Up Down The Road. Glad Everyone Used Good Judgement By Either Trailering To Camp Mack Or Staying South. Talked To Some Of The "Bass Guys" And One Guy Said They Had Two Boats Almost Sink Due To The Rough Water Breaking Drain Piping Going To The Live Wells! So, Glad Everyone Made It Back Safe!

As most people will know, I put that to the test (as far as not taking my boat and having a great time).

As always, an amazing event, but this one was much more special to me; seeing Skip (Talon2.5), Wendy, Brian (Shore Pounder) for the first time in so many years was just so awesome. I really wish I was able to find Mike Corona and Tom Foley. I had to leave on Saturday night and did run around the property several times but couldn't find you guys - I'm really sorry.
I have not seen Skip in 12 years and Brian in probably around 8 years. These guys are the Scream And Fly Forefathers. They began this journey with all of us from the start. Just so amazing and thank you for the memories everyone!
I got to meet many more Scream And Fly forum members as well, which I absolutely love doing. Brian McKnight came down to the Ranch just to meet up with me, which meant the world to me. You might recognize Brian's amazing yellow Talon which is featured on the Scream And Fly Racing shirt. I am hoping to shoot photos of his beautiful new Talon soon. When people ask why I stay up all night working on the site, that would be the answer. This is why I always try my hardest to make S&F the best it can be.
I wish I could have stayed longer - I am not even home yet (at Sandi's now). I'll start posting up photos later on tonight. I have some pretty amazing shots of you guys - most especially, Chris Cromley's tunnel. And Jeff and I were asking "Who is that kid driving that beautiful Action with the 2.5 on it?" That was Justin and that is one of the nicest Actions I've ever seen. I'll post photos of that as well, and many more. Also, seeing Karl's beautiful and very fast STV/Evinrude E-Tec is always so much fun. And it just sounds frightening!
Thank you everybody for an amazing time. Also, thank you to Jeff at Freeze Frame Video for having me use his Superboat to shoot photos from. All of my photos are thanks to that.
Thank you everyone!
Greg

This was a great weekend, a bit of rain on Saturday mixed with a lot of wind. Still had a blast running the canal with some new faces and some familiar. Already can't wait for next year

We need to get back to the grass lot party on Saturday night. I used to love hanging out with everyone in one area with all the boats around. Seems everyone got spread out across the whole property and I missed a lot of people.

Also I leaned today that you can do a 6pm checkout on Sunday for an additional $25. Perfect for a weekend like this when Sunday was so nice. Boat all day, take a shower and head home later in the day.
