    Ups sucks!

Just got an email from UPS.They billed my account another eleven bucks, because I shipped my engine block in a plastic toat box,and not in a cardboard box.WTH? This is a brand new rubbermaid box. I drilled holes through the flange and zip tied.Has nice countersunk handles, and packed tight with styrofoam.Seemed like the perfect shipping box! BUT its not a god dammed cardboard box so its another eleven bucks. The driver commented its nice to have the handles instead of bear hugging a fifty pound box to deliver it.UPS has been on my crap list, but now going on my imbargo list

It's hard to imagine but I have been wrapping my wood crates with cardboard when I have to use UPS.

We are lucky to have both ups and fed ex at our disposal. My general mail delivery is a continuous nightmare due to fact that we have a cluster box at the end of our road. Its like the mailman just throws it in which ever box they want and then its up to our neighbors to be gracious enough to take the time to bring it to us and we have to do the same for them.

Stopped using them many years ago, horrible!
BTW, if the price does not get you do a test....raise the package above your head and drop it with a little help..........if it survives then it is UPS ready.....

I'm scratching my head here. You're saying it cost an additional $11 just because you used plastic instead of cardboard? Very f'cked up for sure. I only use fedex and now I won't even attemp to try UPS. Thanks.
