Overhauling search engine on S&F

Hi All,

Just a note to let you all know that we will be overhauling the search engine on Scream And Fly. As a matter of fact, we are completely replacing the search engine entirely. S&F will be using the same search engine that Craigslist uses, as well as many other very large websites.

The forums search has never been particularly good, and this change will give far better and far faster results to all searches.

Thanks again for your support, which of course makes all of this possible!

Now that IS an upgrade,many thanks!!! Everything a person wants to know,is buried in there some ware,it can be a little tough to get it out sometimes.

not 100% sure about the current search system, but will the new one allow a search of 3 letter words?!!

Sounds good I assume......I can build a motor start to finish, but have trouble turning a computer on. .haha

Indeed it does! I am now testing the new search, and so far it's performing fantastic. Over time, its performance will continue to increase.

I would like to again thank our Team Members and Supporting Vendors, because all of this work we've undertaken to improve the site this month is entirely thanks to you!
