I hope to make it. Wife is supposed to be on work travel then and if she is not, unless she visits her family in CT, she would never let me live down going up and not visiting them and neither would they. Hopefully I can get her to go visit them and maybe get my brother in law to come to the ROMP and party down with you guys.

You tell em Activated!
You guys always ball busting each other, pretty funny. Hope I can make the ROMP.
You guys who have them know why after driving ChrisM's Shadow I got Keith's boat. Because of how they drive and handle. Way more fun than any other style boat I have ever owned. I got lucky to score the two I have.
Trust me, you buy Pontoon boats for your wives to hang out on, you buy SOB's for the rush and just........ because you want them.
Keith told me the stereo did not work in his boat. I was like GOOD, I plan on taking that thing out and figuring a creative way to cover the hole with something I can actually use like a mapping GPS if I can see that far over. Still looking for a Smartcraft unit and wiring harness that will work with a 2001 300x if any of you knows where one can be had.
Maybe some day I will turn on the stereo on wifey's pontoon, but I doubt it. To me anything that drains down the battery you need to start and trim the boat is not something you want to do unless you have a two battery setup and even then, you got a wacker or two for a stereo.

I agree 100% Right up there with the gas to mile consumption rate.
Amazing how fast 62 gallons disappear when you are having fun.

Don't get all worked up here. No one is eliminating the lighter V bottoms out of any bias. Its just that this SOB rivalry all started around the idea of a small rough water capable Linder style / and or OPBA class 7 worthy boat. Hell everybody know there are 21' Allisons out there with 2.5 Drags that run 125+. I just don't think anyone has ever been a points winner in one in class 7. Hope that doesn't minimize any interest in these SOBs. They just have a different purpose then the fly weight boats. Built stronger so they don't bust apart in those conditions. You don't find too many that have rough water capability and can still get close to the 100 mph mark. Not trying to piss you off. Sorry if I am.

Oh one more thing. If someone is gonna break the mold here in the class 7 rivalry. My money is on Greg and Ben co-piloting a tritoon with a really loud stereo all speakers facing out the back for extra speed.

Go for it Johnny, but Ben's boat is probably fast enough already and the guy can drive. I know you have a pontoon too, but really. Playcraft has some FAST pontoons, it might be fun with enough cash sponsorship to get Ben and Greg one that will smoke the SOB's. Man I wish I had enough money to play hard core fun. Imagine getting your twin Velocity smoked by a pontoon. Ben and Greg both are probably ballsy enough and good enough wheel men to do it but me personally, I would not want to go any faster than wife's bennington or our JC pontoon run in a big ass pontoon, especially in the water you guys run in. On the lake, no problem, in big rollers I would be scared.

Pick a rough day and lets go !!! Last year Matthew ran the king of the cut run with all the SOB's.Starting at the bridge he purposely waited for every one else to leave first, then took the same coarse through the rough water and boat traffic.By the time everyone else was just getting in to Lindenhurst he was already at the Amityville cut waiting! His boat is 21 feet and has 1 motor (stock)and will out run any of those OTHER SOB's in any conditions the Great south bay can dish out.By the way,Allison doesn't make a 21,and I think 21 skaters should be included,Or maybe you should call your class S.O.V.21

Ook sorry our label isn't specific enough for you. We should have made it sobvclass7.Sorry your having HUGE isues with this. Could you please just go win class 7 this year and show everyone how great you are. Then you.can argue with officials, oh and make sure they label everything perfect.
Mike what do you got a 300 on that thing?

This IS kinda what I was talking about, heres what I might suggest, while you still know everything, move out of your parents house, learn what a Sob is.
Matthew boat is damm fast for what it is,it would be silly to ask him to make a Hudson run with us,or maybe he should cross the LI Sound with us.seems a little silly right, instead let's go out Sunday mornings and have a good time.Glad to see GM250 posting again,EVEN THOUGH HE PULLED HIS POSTS DOWN ALREADY.21 SuperBoat VF200 Yamaha SHO
