1500xs
Have to wonder if this is really a J block. Has late model lower on it, too; probably hurts the resale value. New paint, decals, and this would look and sound SUPER sexy on my Avenger, but it just won't put our the power of my XR2.

Its not a 150 XS. The block is silver. Probably 70 or 71 135 or 115.

1972 but I am told that there were some silver ones that year but I have never seen one.

the xs on ebay could be an xs if it is a replacement block, since they were not painted.

true, but could have used older transfer covers, but not likely. ...I like to look at all possibilities ...I just had nothing else to think about at the moment...

It'd be easier to say it's a fake.

It is still a 16" mid and a nice louvered cowling

I think xskid may be right on it being a replacement block ,as the casting # is from early to mid 80's for a 115 ,also there's a circular boss in this same pic above the casting # that I haven't seen on the earlier 135-150 blocks .Looks like the transfer covers were painted at one time , The ignition coil is 73 or earlier, At any rate its a combination of several different years of parts .Starter solenoid appears to be a later model .

XS mid should be missing the last two top tilt pin holes as well. this one has them. Looks like someone let a drill and hole saw get away from them on it as well. yucko
