Airless for spraying resin n gelcoat

Just a quick question and any tips if this can be done. Will an airless gun effectively spray resin and or gelcoat. If it will what size tip would one of you gurus suggest?

I bought the two guns mentioned in this video for spraying .015-.125 Flake and gel....Talked to a painter where I store my stuff and he confirmed they should be just fine for the task at hand. I also questioned the techs at Fibreglast and confirmed that as long as you are thinning with Styrene you don't need a Dump Gun for Gel.

Now Resin I don't know about but these could work for that as well.

I would think the clean up for Gel or Resin in any Airless pump would be extensive.

If it kicks off on ya,the whole things goona be junk.Im thinking you will ruin the pump first time out. Buy a 2 1/2 or 3 mm gun off eBay $39.00 free shipping. They work great for gel. When your done pitch it!!!

That's exactly what zi was thinking.. No way to actually extend pot life long enough to avoid it activating right in the middle of the application. Thanks outasite!!!!

My answer to all this silliness is you get what you deserve !!
Messing round with boats is fun !! the learning never stops ,even after more than 30 years there's always something new happening somewhere ! BUT somethings never change and some problems never go away and just keep reoccurring !!so moved into Composite Forensics , Now that something completely new !!
