I'm originally from babylon, used to dock right in the village. Perfect in between whether you were running to fire island or just to hemlock cove for the day......as far as cherry grove...well, I'll just say I prefer sailors haven .....better sandbar..haha

I enjoy both the North and south shores both have a lot to offer,I boat out of Northport just about every Sunday with the occasional trip to the city.Btw Bobby I have wreck or lost far more props on the south shore then the north side.Merry Christmas everyone .
